Project description
The research project will develop scientifically based solutions for fast and reliable prediction of rock mass properties for mine planning and geometallurgical purposes, which will help to maintain safe and profitable operations in the more demanding conditions facing the mining industry in the future. The research will be based integration of geochemical laser-spectral measurements and non-invasive geophysical measurements into mine planning. The integrated approach will be a step towards achieving more productive and profitable mining operation that will have a positive long-term impact on the whole society. International cooperation will be carried out with Prof. Dominique Ngang-Tillard and Prof. Deyan Draganov from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Department of Geosciences and Engineering, who will complement this research with their parallel research projects.
