Beskrivning av projektet
Mental disorders are the leading cause of work disability in young adults, and thus a vast societal and financial challenge. The aim of the DAQI study is to investigate if an interactive (i.e. requiring user engagement and input) web-based program “Mental Hub” is effective in reducing depression and anxiety related work disability measured by sickness absence in young Finnish public sector employees. As research material we will use large register based follow-up data from 18-29-year-old employees of the City of Helsinki. Our research will produce unique and internationally ground-breaking information which can have significant effects on the promotion of occupational health in the form a regionally equal, easily available low cost treatment for these common health problems. Multidisciplinary international collaboration will increase our chances of producing new and relevant information with a high societal impact.
