Project description
Project "Theory of multilinear factorization and its applications" is a five-year Academy Research Fellowship project at the University of Helsinki. The project is at the interface between harmonic and functional analysis and fosters interplay between abstract principles and concrete problems. Multilinear perspective has proved fruitful on fundamental problems in harmonic analysis, such as on the Kakeya problem, on the restriction problem, and on their applications in number theory and PDEs. The objective of the project is to develop a theory of multilinear factorization and to solve some central problems in harmonic analysis via the approaches that the theory reveals.
