Project description
The main goal of the project is to develop and publish new software to simulate high-energy collisions in high precision. Such tools are essential in analyzing the current measurements and for designing new high-energy collider experiments that are currently being developed. In particular, the project will provide tools for electron-ion colliders, such as EIC proposed in the US, which aim to study the structure of protons and heavy nuclei, and to study the dynamics of the strong interaction. The codes will be based on well-tested theoretical frameworks that are heavily used to simulate proton-proton collisions for example at the Large Hadron Collider in CERN. The proposed models could also bring more insight for the unexpected observation of collective behaviour in high energy proton-proton and proton-ion collisions. Such data will be also utilized to further improve the physics models in order to provide up-to-date predictions for the future experiments.
