Project description
The ultimate goal of this research visit project is to contribute to the development of a new method for assessing the viability of a biological tissue on the basis of the fluorescent spectroscopy and laser speckle contrast imaging methods, including two-dimensional mapping of the fluorophores of biological tissues and the dynamics maps the blood supply to the examined organs. The project is aimed to the development of an approach for express-diagnostics of the biological tissue state (health tissue, necrosis, inflammation, cancer) using fluorescence spectroscopy and laser speckle contrast imaging. The fundamental basis of the project will be the combined model of fluorescent and laser speckle-contrast images formation from tissues with different content of fluorophores, chromophores and different levels of blood filling, built utilizing Monte Carlo simulation.
