Project description
In this project, 1) environmentally friendly and rapidly processable graphene ink, 2) low temperature and printable high performance piezoelectric inks and 3) custom made integrated circuit combining near field communication (NFC) and measurement capabilities, for e.g. printed sensors, was developed, manufactured and tested. In addition, the NFC circuitry harvests its needed energy for operation from RF fields of the surrounding environment. Teleoperated sensor based on graphene ink and printed piezoelectric actuator/sensors functions were demonstrated. Future systems containing aforementioned features enables wide range of application possibilities in IoT solutions in machine and environment monitoring and control, healthcare and ubiquitous and mobile cyber-physical systems. Project was carried out in co-operation of research groups from University of Oulu and Tampere University of Technology including international research exchanges with Georgia Institute of Technology (USA).
