Project description
In the project, we studied how surface plasmon resonance in nanostructured metals can be exploited to enhance catalytic reactions as well as chemical sensing of adsorbed analytes. Nanowires and nanotubes of copper and its Pt and Pd replaced derivatives were found to have excellent properties and suggest cost-efficient applications in both light-assisted chemical activation of e.g. CO2 and SERS substrates.
