Project description
Our work provide new solutions to the problem of cognitive radio networks, from the game theoretical point of view and also via use of learning in cognitive radio networks. Moreover, we have studied the distributed implementation of those solutions. Different new scenarios are also investigated such as use of multiple interfaces for cooperative content delivery, cognitive small cell base stations, and use of distributed channel bonding in opportunistic access networks. Moreover, to address the challenge of more spectrum for the IoTs, the PI’s works have identified the suitability of frequency spectrum used by the rotating radars for providing connectivity to the low power things in the IoT on the basis of a shared access method. The proposed method ensures coexistence of the IoT with the rotating radars. To better understand the rotating radar systems’ operating principles, and to determine their spectrum usage patterns, the PI ran an extensive measurements campaign.
